People love to talk about the best investments the’ve ever made.
It’s usually the opening lines for MLM/pyramid schemes. If you have any female friends on Facebook between the ages of 18 and 60, you are probably bombarded with Facebook messages like this:
“Hey girl, I wanted to tell you about an amazing investment opportunity…”
They then proceed to tell you about how selling a sub-par skincare line made out of dolphin placenta changed their life. You just need to invest $12,000 to get a “starter kit”. CUT TO: 6 months later you’re $12,000 poorer and have a garage full of dolphin placenta night cream.
But we rarely hear others talk about the worst investments they made.
A bad investment is worse than a stomach virus. OK, I just made that up, but bad investments are pretty bad, and when you make a bad investment, just like a stomach virus, it can really make your life miserable. The following are some of what I consider to be the worst investments.
